Support our Work

Support Our WorkConnecting Skills Australia (CSA) is always delighted to hear from people who would like to get involved, offer something back to the community and help us achieve our goals. There are several ways in which you can help:

Volunteers are crucial in supporting the ongoing work of our Client Services and Employment Services
Our volunteers are usually to be found helping clients with leisure and recreational activities such as art, gardening and sports, as well as assisting staff in community inclusion activities.

Connecting Skills Australia always try and match their volunteers to activities they might have a particular interest in, and volunteers get a real sense of satisfaction in the relationships they develop with clients.

CSA ask for a minimum commitment of half a day a week for a period of 3 months. This can be on a day and at a time to suit you.

Student Placements

Are you planning a career in community inclusion for people with a disability?

CSA offers student placements across their range of programs.

You will learn about your chosen profession, get the opportunity to develop industry connections and gain job satisfaction in seeing the growth and development of the clients and Supported Employees you work with.

Students who work with CSA are all given a buddy to help them get the most out of the experience. Some of our placement students have even gone on to a career with CSA.

Ideally, students will work with us one day a week for the duration of their placement.
To find out more, please get in touch. CSA will arrange a meeting for you to see their work and discuss how you could help.

Donations and Bequests

Over the years, CSA has been fortunate enough to receive financial donations from organisations and individuals alike and CSA welcomes any contribution to supporting their growth. Donations enable the team to continue to develop the skill, confidence and employability of the adults it supports and are invaluable in ensuring the continuation of our work.

Donated funds go towards equipment to:

  • Support Clients with complex needs (e.g. sensory items or craft supplies)
  • Further the skills of Clients in the Transition to Employment program (e.g. iPads or other IT equipment)
  • Enable our Supported Employees to fulfil more contracts (e.g. lawnmowers or car washing equipment)
